Meet Brinkley
The Story Behind Our Store
Brinkley is the granddaughter of owner's, Mike & Barb. She is the namesake of our store.

Brinkley is such an amazing gift to our family and has shown us what being truly kind is all about! The world says she has a disability, but we feel she has an amazing ABILITY!
Brinkley was diagnosed with Williams Syndrome (WS) at the age of 11 months. WS is a rare birth condition that effect one in every 10,000 births. WS is caused by the deletion of genetic material from the Williams-Beuren region. Individuals with WS have very endearing personalities. They have a unique strength in their expressive language skills and are extrememly polite, friendly and in general are KIND to everyone. They are typically unafraid of strangers and show greater interest in contact with adults than their peers.
Many babies have life threatening cardiovascular problems. Children with WS may need costly and ongoing medical care and early intervention (such as speech & occupational therapy). As they grow, they may struggle with things like spatial relations, numbers, and abstract reasoning, which can make daily tasks a challenge. As adults, most people with WS may need supportive housing to live to their fullest potential.
